Hello everyone, a noob here just signed up. i have now found my new hobby/passion but have some questions

First off, i have a amd 64 bit 3500 cpu, 1.5 gig of pc 3200 memory, dfi lanpart 3200 mother board, creative x-fi fata1lty sound card, z5300e speakers, 20 inch lcd, running on vista 64 bit.

I dowloaded daemon tools the latest version. installed it and used it to mount scarface the pc game. after i mounted it i installed the game using the setup.exe. after it installed i closed daemon tools and tried the game and it worked. except my pc runs really slow when i run the game, not during game play but when the game first starts it loads forever almost makes you think its stalled. is this caused by it not using the cd and is just using the harddrive? or should i mount the game and then burn it instead of putting the whole thing on the pc hard drive? i also need to mention that i have the game set in its properties to be run as admin along with run under windows xp? or maybe i just need more memory? is it possible to mount the game and then burn it to cd to avoid have to use the original cd ?

The delay when starting the game is most probably the games' copy protection trying to see, if you've inserted the original cd/dvd. DT emulates the original cd/dvd's structure very well, so that in most cases the game can be run without additional tools.
It does however depend on the quality of the image structure data how accurate the structure simulation is, so that bad images can lead to longer start times or even a failure to start (e.g. with an error message like "insert original cd/dvd").
Another reason for long start/load times can be terribly fragmented image files. Try to use the defragmenter to see how fragmented the drive containing the image files is.
You can also try using YASU (downloadable here) to start scarface, since it seems to be securom protected.
