  • vista x64 virtual drives arent there!?

hey Ive been trying to use daemon tools to get this iso file to run but its seems daemon tools cant find any virtual drives to run it on a click mount image and select the dvd iso thingy and its starts up i click play then its says insert cd!?

ive got vista x64 and the latest daemon tools lite
I cant find virtual drives in device maneger
daemon tools only gives me the option between device 0 &1

Is a drive letter assigned to virtual drives?

You are using latest DT 4.30.0302 for Pro or 4.30.1 for Lite?

Well, just read full story again.

It seems you are trying to play a game with an ISO image - that is the cause. ISO images don't contain copy protection related data.

Therefore thread title is completely wrong as you can mount the image into virtual drive.

EDIT: Sry, somehow misread something very big

ern, you already said they had letters...

your problem (i think) is that you are trying to play from an iso, the game is protected and (because of the iso format) the protection check is failing...

so, try making an mdf/mds image (of the original disk, because making an mdf/mds of an iso is pointless) in daemon tools or alcohol and see if that works
