Daemon Tools Lite doesn't start

I admit, I'm a noob at this stuff. I downloaded 2 separate files for a game, and when I used WinRAR to open them, some meaningless stuff shows up in text form and a syntax error thing. The only thing I've been able to play is a short video for the game.

I heard that Daemon Tools could open them, so I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite. The problem is, when I click on the desktop icon (or start menu icon) to open it, nothing happens at all. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times.

I'm using Windows Vista...with Home Basic I think.
Pleease help!!
