NEED FOR SPEED 2 Installs but doesnt play

Hi, I recently obtained the images (2) for the need for speed 2 game. When i mount them, the installation runs smooth. When i mount image 1 (recognized as disk 1) the game loads to the menu screen where it asks if i want to play, need help, or tech support..... When i hit play, it asks to insert disk 2, so then i mount image 2. After that it tells me to "insert the correct cd rom, select OK, and restart the application." Is there something that i am doing wrong?
