cd image isnt working

hi when i mount images( i have tried a couple of different ones) of prince of persia sands of time and try to run it. it comes up with an error saying

Disk is not formatted

windows cannot read from the disk. the disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with windows.

any ideas what is the problem? please help

how did you create the images? prince of persia works without any problems for me.

a friend made the images for me. they work fine for him but for me i get that error he burnt a .bin file and also a.mdf file
