Deamon Crashes when MDS files is mounted

Operating System: XP SP2
Burning Software: NERO
Anti-virus Software: Norton
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.47

I am having a huge problem when mounting an MDS file, any other file such as Bin or Iso works fine.
but when i try to mount an MDS file the tool crashes and closes.
this happenes also for ALL mounting tools (nero, isobuster ...) MDS files are simply crashing my system. can anyone tell me what to do?
i tried the same files on someone elses PC with Deamon it worked fine. so the problem is not from the MDS file but from my system !
Help please cause i am out of ideas.

What burning software (all of it!) do you have installed? How did you create the image? Have you tried mounting other mds files on your computer? What error message (if any) do you get?

the MDS file was downloaded from the internet and i have trived a number of MDs files all did exactly the same but all worked on other PCs.
Yes i have all the above burning softwares, and none is able to mount or burn the image ( i tried to mount it with Deamon tools in the hard drive), it simply causes the computer to crashes. the message is: Windows explorer has encoutered an error and needs to close. then 90% of the time right after the message i get: DRWatson has encountered an error and needs to shut down !
there is something in my windows that is stopping me from opening the MDS files. any other file (bin or ISo) works fine.
what can be the cause of this? i have laos noticed that when i am in (my computer) and i right click on my mouse on one of my hard drives. the same thing happenes!!! exploere and Drwatson crashes down !!!!
there must be a bug somewhere, but i cannot re-install wondows i have sooo many things in my PC that would be lost !
