I've read in the news section that we have a expected "landmark" time for this month. Well today is the 22nd and there are 9 days left in this month. Is V4 still on for this month or will there be a longer delay? Any news on this will be highly apreciated. I have been coming here everyday looking for updated news and I find nothing. I finally got everything working on X64 setup and all I am missing is D Tool. BTW, the new site looks great....Now if you update those smiley we will all be set.

I have no missing drivers, my nforce drivers are fine <shrug>
IMHO it's better than 32bit Windows XP

I have a ECS KN1 Extreme(with NForce 4 chipset with 6.66 drivers that work fine), A64 3000+ Venice@2.6Ghz, X1800 XL, X Fi Plat, 2GB of Samsung PC3200, and 510W PC Power & Cooling PSU......and X64 runs fine. It sure is alot more stable/faster than 32Bit Windows. BTW, the 31st would be a bad day. I will be taking my kids out trick or treating that day and going to parties later on that night. D Tools will be the last thing on my mind. I'm a geek, but I have a life. Though more than likely it will be delayed anyways. I wouldn't doubt it if it wasn't released until next year when Vista is released. X64 has been in BETA for how long?....and been offically released since June/July and still no real working emulator? Logitech is just as bad with no X64 Camera drivers. I guess some companies understand the concept of rolling with technology and not against it. Oh well, there must be a shortage of good programers I guess because as long as companies have had access to X64 Beta and as long as it has been officially released, you'd think they would have been smart enough to have 64Bit drivers or versions of their software by now. Look at ATI, Nvidia, VIA, and etc. They have had 64 bit drivers since LAST YEAR over a large array of their products and certain companies can't even release one driver or software version in a timely matter! Quick support for new technology and innovation tells alot about a company. The ones that can't keep up or consider as 2nd rate IMO. Thank god for Ultra ISO.

x64 driver
i bought some months ago a logitech quickcam pro 4000... and... i cannot use it anymore. Since i'm on x64... no in dualboot... so i'm waiting for logitech plans to work on x64 driver. But the funny part is that logitech already done x64 drivers for keyboard/mouse and for the "racing wheel", so i say, what's wrong with the webcam?

With all due respect that sounds like an excuse if you ask me. That's like Nvidia saying we aren't goning to support SLI on X64 because not too many people use SLI under X64. Thank god companies like Nvidia, ATI and such do not think like you sir. They have support for Linux, Windows X64/32, Win 98/Me, Mac OS, and etc. I'm glad you don't run the company I work for. Your logic leads me to believe that "If most people don't use it then it don't matter"....am I correct? I mean what have D Tools programers been doing for the last year while X64 was in BETA? You know it and everyone else knows that it should not take this long to make a X64 version of your software. It's like your turning your back on all the people that upgraded to X64.
Thank you for letting me know how D-Tools feels about good business ethics and real support. You may get upset and ban me, but let's face the facts. You know everything that I am saying is true. It's ridiculous that you all don't have a X64 version out when you can go out and buy a OEM copy of Windows 64 from places like newegg. There are even PC's that come with Windows X64 preinstalled on them though you claim not too many people use X64? I sure hope D Tools V4 will support Vista too because it maybe another year or more before we see support for it by your logic......eventhough ATI , Nvidia, and etc. already have drivers for Vista NOW. D Tools support is not good reguardless of how many excuses you make and everyone can see it.

Regarding 64 bit support, it would be hard to define rules, ideals, development policies, or marketing policies. BUT if you want to get a glimpse into these things regarding x64 support check out the fifth post in the Common Problems and Solutions forum. x64 is great
I own 3 AMD Athlon64 boxes. 2 of them use nForce chipsets and the other uses a VIA set. One of them is even a laptop. I currently have my laptop and one of my servers using x64 because it is very stable. Since x64 is based off of the 2003 server OS it is tons better than regular WinXP (which if I may add is more unstable and buggy than any other windows os i've ever seen). I have my server using x64 and its running apache, mysql, php, and imagemagick flawlessly. I first had my server running on WinXP with the same configuration and it totally failed to parse large PHP files. I'm no wizard on all of the 64 bit systems and stuff when it comes to drivers and software, but it is true that you have to rebuild the everything from the ground up. And it takes lots of time too. I haven't coded to many programs, but I know this kind of stuff takes 100s if not 1000s of hours to get it working the right way. As much as I want D4 to be out so I can put it to use, I'm grateful that the people working on it put so much time and hard work into it, regardless of it being a free product. Even if they aren't able to keep their word, and D4 comes out next month, or maybe even the month after that, I'll still support them. As a final word, great job D-Tools staff, keep up the hard work.
