  • Need start up help!

I know the answere to this is probably in the DAEMON Tools help, but I'm not to good with computers and didn't really understand to much.
Could anyone try to explain how i use the program?
Do i have to download something for every cd/dvd or can DAEMON tools make the copy of the CD it self?

In other words, how do I get/create the image to mount on the false CD rom?

You create the image yourself. A lot of people here use a program called alcohol 120% to do this. You can obtain a trial copy here http://www.alcohol-soft.com/

As far as using daemon-tools itself, it comes with a pretty comprehensive manual, you can read the manual by installing daemon tools, right clicking the icon in your system tray, go to help, and then click manual.

Thanks for the reply, I'll get started with that manual.
But I really would like a "not trial software", so that i didn't have to make all copies in 30 days.

And I DO NOT want to pay either :P
Anyone knows some free shareware that does the same job?

        throntel,

Not an easy answer. I'm computer "slow" myself. I'll try and answer as simply as possible, for myself, not you.

DT is a virtual drive, it emulates CD/DVD drives.

It cannot create images. You will have to create them yourself, for music, video, on another program such as Nero.

Read the documentation which will point you towards any tools you may need to create disc images.

Check this forums help site as there are plenty more like you, and me.

No, there's no free "extractor"-software like alcohol 120%

This has been discussed before (in this thread).
