This worked for me:

-Installed FEAR (Directors Cut)
-Patched to 1.02
-Downloaded the following image from GameCopyWorld: "F.E.A.R. Director's Cut v1.02 [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed Image" by pyro
-Mounted the .MDS file with Daemon Tools 4
-Downloaded Anti-Blah from GameCopyWorld
-Ran the "ON" .bat file for the appropriate language
-Set fear.exe to Windows 2000 Compatability mode

Run the game

version 1.02 is bugged. you need to be OFFLINE (disconect yourself from internet) to be able to run 1.02.
else it will start silently as a process without showing anything!

just use any image, mini or 1:1, mound in DT4 and run it.

ive had 0 problems running it while connected to the net, and im connected 24/7.
