This is the process for installing Dameon Tools 4 without installing the Dameon/WhenU SearchBar OR WhenU SaveNow. This is the only way to install that I know of to avoid compromising your system security.
Step 1: Download installer and run to begin installation.
Step 2: After installer reboots your system, you will be prompted to install ad-ware.
Step 3: Click the "x" to close that window. Dameon Tools is installed.
The problem is the installer is designed to not let you finish in a normal fashion, because it wants you to install one ad-ware or the other. The truth is that at the point your system prompts you to install ad-ware, Dameon Tools has already been installed and is running.
I personally find the installer design to be decieving. If you have been putting off installing because of ad-ware worries, rest assured you can "kill the window" at the point DT is installed, and the ad-ware has not.
