problem with godfather and directx

I tried to install godfather but after i insert the cdkey. I get a blank license agreement and the when i click ok the game says that i have to install directx 9.0c which i have. So i searched on google and didn't get a good answer so i thought you guys might be able to help me.

Try to reeinstall Directx 9, there are some updates available.

Why should it be a bad image? I don't understand the connection.

I have it for 2 days now. Search the torrent sites.
