SOLUTION : Notification icon not showing
Hello
I had the following error message when Daemon tools tried to launch the icon in the sytem tray following the boot up...
Failed to add notification icon, error 0!
... I also noticed one other icon was being problematic, which was ATI Tray Tools.
A solution for me was to download this....
from here...
It might surprise you but by disabling that service it has allowed both my icons to now be displayed on EVERY boot with no error message at all.
I can only imagine that some application started that service as I had no problems for ages, until recently.
I can't guarantee it will work for everyone but using that tool that I linked the service can be both started and stopped.
