daemon.exe dies opening "Mount Image" dialog

Operating System: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP2
Burning Software: IBM RecordNow Business Edition Version 7
Anti-virus Software: Symantec Antivirus 10.1
DAEMON Tools Version: 4.09
Installed on a new ThinkPad T60p, when tried to mount an image for the first time, clicked on Virtual CD_ROM->Device 0: -> Mount Image, something appears on the screen, and immediately closes. Tray icon is gone too. Driver still seems to be there -- I see unmounted drive. Restarting daemon.exe brings back tray icon, but it still dies when I try to specify an image file.
Would like to provide more info, but not quite sure what else can I get. Is there any log files somewhere?

Im having just the same problem, i came after installing latest(4091-x86). Older version(344) worked fine. I have updated my SCSI SPTD to v147.

Similar problem here, but there is a few seconds delay before dt crashes. When I am able to mount an image, dt is working properly - but you have to be fast :-). It seems there is something wrong with the dialog.
Using vista with dt 4.09 HE + sptd 1.50
