this sucks, when i install dt and restart it works but when i restart again it says "Invalid Device". so i need to delete-install dt and reboot every time to use it :evil: .

Instead of uninstalling you better go to device manager and check status of devices.

Since I have the same problem I think I join this discussion.
With my Daemon Tools I suddenly had this "SCSI device not detected" message. It just appeared one day and never went away from that on. I fo not remember if it happend after an update of some software or so.

The system event log reports an error:

Hi everbody,

I installed DAEMON Tools today and the same thing appends to me : hte first time I works perfectly, but after I rebooted my computer, when I want to launch DAEMON Tools, I have 2 successive error message dialogs which both say "Invalid Device".... :?:

It's not the first time I've this problem, I've alraedy installed DT on my computer a couple of months ago, and i had the same problem, I needed to de-install it and re-install i after each system reboot.
But today is the first time I install it on my computer until the last time I reinstalled Win XP...
I don't have de-installed DT yet.
