i can not write cd-s and dvd-s

i installed dt347 under windows xp professional.
after installation i was unable to burn a disc from a disc.
the input disk is read in without any problem but then
i get a message (after putting an empty disc into the drive)
that there is no disk in the drive.
i use roxio digital plus and nero 7.5.7.
please help.

please update dtools to 4.0.9.1 u can found it in the download area and to the latest stpd 1.50 driver. link can be found in the announce of today.

Nero-7.9.6.0 is the latest. maybe u should update this too. please give feedback if the driversupdate of dtools and stpd helps you.

unfortunately things are not as easy as that. i reinstalled
dt347 via the add and remove programs. however this
was a mistake since two virtual drives have not been
removed. then i removed the virtual drives according to a
message in the common problems and solutions. i also
canceled the corresponding files in the program files directory
and the sys files in the ...\system32\directory. in spite of
that i receive an error message during the installation . it
says:
internal setup errors. contact support
this shows that i am a bit green. what can i do in order
to install dt4091 successfully?

er, he said he installed 3.47, which does not use the sptd driver (only 4 or higher does..)

i have just installed sptd 1.5. however nothing has changed,
i.e., i can not burn cd-s. i can read them, i can listen to music
but still unable to burn a copy of a disk.

i have just installed dt4091 with success. however nothing has changed. after installation i am still unable to burn a copy from a cd. everything is read in, but then neither roxio nor nero is
capable of realizing that there is an empty disk put in the drive.
before installing dt this had not been a problem.

got alcohol installed or any 'atip hiding' program?
those can interfere with cd/dvd recordable media detection
