your fine thing catches some of my network-drives-letters.

Our fine thing doesn't - the drive letter assignment is done by Windows. What you actually face is the well known bug in Windows mount point manager mapping new drive letters over already existing ones. Should be handled by manually re-assigning Daemon Tools drive letters, either via diskmanagement (run diskmgmt.msc) or Daemon Tools device parameters settings.
