Is DT Pro different from DT Lite?

Why could that happen that the same image of NFSMW starts if mounted in DT Lite (with physical drive disabled in Device Manager) and does not start if mounted on any drive of DT Pro (neither SCSI nor IDE)?

Just installed the game to check this. No problems here, game runs fine using vIDE.
Safedisc sometimes acts strange (like games not starting), but this is usually fixed after a reboot.

Could that be something to do with a different drive letter being assigned to the virtual drive than the drive letter it was installed under?

I seem to remember that safedisc likes to have the same drive letter for install & play?

No, I tried changing drive letters and that does not help.
