I try to install daemon and it tells me that it can't be installed because I need a newer version of windows installer.it says to download a newest service pack but where the hell to get it from??i already installed everything from windows update but there's nothing about windows installer.... :?

I have the exact same problem as the topic starter, my msi.dll version is 1.20.1827.0.

you know, i had the same problem... but with a twist:
i first installed dtools 3.44 = no problem
i deleted my windows+reinstaled it
reinstaled the exact same programms i had before
i tried to reinstall dtools, but it gave the same "newer version needed" message.
i'm now downloading the upgrade... finished

OK i have the same problem, except after I updated to 2.0 it still sais that windows installer is out of date... *sigh*
