Installing Windows 8.1 Update (KB2919355) - First get BSOD - Microsoft Community
Do not install (or remove) SPTD 1.86 if you are planning to update to the newest Windows 8.1 update (KB2919355) because it's causing BSOD on many systems (particularly HP).
If you want to experiment anyway, be sure to create a Restore Point BEFORE SPTD installation!!!!!
