Daemon Tools does not work on Windows 2003

I just upgraded to Windows 2003 Server.
It's a brand new fresh install... no antivirus installed yet, DirectX 9.0b...
no burning software yet, newest Daemon Tools 3.44...
Daemon Tools will not work, it worked fine on Windows 2000 SP1-4, but after it reboots and tries to init the virtual DVDROMs, it pops up and says Invalid Device...
win2003 is basically windows XP but there are some things different about it, for instance, i have to get a special version of Zone Alarm Pro for 2003 server for it to work properly.. and DirectX 8.x and 9.0a do not work on 2003.. im not sure exactly what it is about 2003's architecture, but Daemon Tools does not work on it...
please investigate this problem... and no I didnt use windows update, it's a piece of crap.

It worked until I rebooted then yeah, that happened.

I just installed Daemon 3.44 on a Windows 2003 Server without any problem. After the required restart the virtual drive work perfectly.

I know this won't help you, but you see, you don't necessarily have to wait for the next release.

I Run Daemon 344 on 2003 with device error but click OK twice and restart Daemon OK.
I also run standard Zone Alarm Pro 4.5.538 with web filtering OK.
It complains at installation point but installs and runs fine.

I Run Daemon 3.46 on Window Server 2003 with device error in every start the computer, but click OK twice and restart Daemon OK.

The latest version of Alcohol 120% will cause your error message.
I think it is version 1.9 that causes errors you mention.
The version 1.47 causes no problems.
