Operating System: Windows XP Professional SR1 DE
Burning Software: Nero 5.5.10.48, InCD
Anti-virus Software: OfficeScan 7.100
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46
I am working with an Fujitsu Lifebook notebook, new installed with WinXP.
I installed Daemon Tools before I put any USB stick in.
When trying to use my first flash card via PCMCIA, I got installation errors.
In %WinDir%\Windows Update.log I got the following message:
2004-06-23 12:35:29 10:35:29 Success IUENGINE Starting
2004-06-23 12:35:34 10:35:34 Success IUENGINE Querying software update catalog from https://a248.e.akamai.net/v4.windows...etmanifest.asp
2004-06-23 12:35:34 10:35:34 Success IUENGINE Didn't find matching driver for PCMCIA\SANDISK-SDP-0DBF\1
2004-06-23 12:35:43 10:35:43 Success IUENGINE Shutting down
Says it find no driver. With FileMonitor I found out that atapi.sys causes the problem. So I deinstalled Daemon Tools and put my flash card in again. Worked.
Installed Daemon Tools again. Previous flash card works now. New flash card or usb sticks still don't work.
I used previously Win2000 with an older version of daemon tools and had no problems with memory cards or sticks.
Could someone help me? Did I something wrong? Is this a known behavior? I didn't find anything in the other forums.
Thanks, CL
