Operating System: WinXP SP2 RC2
Burning Software: Nero
Anti-virus Software: AVG 6
DAEMON Tools Version: 3.46
I attempted to install SP2 RC2 and got an error during the install that C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\acpi.sys (or acpi32.sys - it was one of the 2) was in use.
I had to abort the install of SP2 RC2 so I could uninstall Daemon Tools 3.46 (which has been running perfectly for me).
After removing this I was able to run the SP2 RC2 installer again and have it complete successfully.
I then re-installed Daemon Tools 3.46, but it fails to run, and trying to execute the program just fails with no error message given.
Does SP2 RC2 effect the acpi.sys/acpi32.sys in such a way that daemons tools can no longer run?
Cheers,
Korhil
