Trying to mount a disk image that you don't have read permissions to results in a 'Invalid image file' error message. Daemon Tools should check the return code of the open system command, and return something along the lines of 'Can't open file, permission denied' instead, as 'invalid image file' makes you think the file is corrupt or otherwise broken.
