Daemon tools crashes at start and uninstall

Hello,

I installed Daemon tools V4 and rebooted in order to continue installation, everything went fine.
But when I reboot again and Dtools starts it immediatly crashes with the standard windows XP crash, this also happens when I try to uninstall it..reinstalling it will lead to a crash too.
Leaving me with a virtual drive I cant use or uninstall and a useless D-Tools installation, any idea how this could happen or how I can fix it.

If you've Starforce drivers in system, update or remove them, then try again.

hey, i had this problem too, what i did was go into mycomputer, go to a virtual drive/s with something in it and press eject on them and try again.
