ERRORS installing/uninstalling 3.47 and 4.0

Ok, this is EXTREMELY annoying. I thought I had uninstalled the old D-Tools in order to install the new 4.0 version, but apparently, it did not since I kept getting the blasted "Error: program not installed" message. Therefore, I read the FAQ on that and uninstalled 4.0, then tried reinstalling 3.47. And now, I'm having problems uninstalling 3.47!! I noticed it didn't delete the DAEMON Tools icon on the desktop, so I knew things didn't uninstall completely. What the hell is wrong with D-Tools Install/Uninstall scripts? I can't even try installing 3.47 on top of it - it gives me this error:

"Device setup error: code 25040 (0x61D0), 80 (0x50). Contact your support personnel." WTF.

Check thread about error 25002 in common problems and solutions forum to remove leftovers of v3.47 manually, reboot after the procedure.
