Let me see if I understand correctly. You don't use Windows XP x64 edition, but you're trying to install the 64-bit version of Daemon Tools? If I'm understanding correctly, that won't work for (hopefully) obvious reasons. If you're running 32-bit WinXP (or Win2k for that matter), you need the standard DT4 release.
