Daemon tools 4 and partitionmagic 8

hello,

Since I have installed Daemon Tools 4, I got problem to use PartitionMagic 8 !
I have installed first "Daemon Tools 4" then "Partition Magic 8.05"

As soon as I start Patition Magic, the program begins to load and stops freezing totally my PC ???!!!
Then, there is noway to do something after that nothing works even "CTRL HALT DEL", ... The only way is to reboot (reset or power off) the computer !
AMD Athlon / 1GHz / 512 MO PC2100 / Windows XP Pro SP2 - all critical update installed, ...

Is anybody aware about this "potential" problem ?

Yes I have remove DT 4 but the problem is still the same ?!

Moreover I dont find any "spdt.sys" on my system

And I red during install a warning to the attention of "debugger people" that it was almost impossible to remove completely DT4 ???

So what could be the problem ?

sptd.sys is located in the \Windows\system32\drivers\ folder

sptd.sys is located in the \Windows\system32\drivers\ folder. To disable it simply rename/move/delete the file and reboot. If DAEMON Tools 4 was functioning correctly then you must have had the SPTD driver installed.

I have made a big mistake : I mixed spdt.sys and sptd.sys

I remove sptd.sys and I keep back partition magic "up and Running"
I apologize again !

Do you know if It is possible to use again DT4 concurrently with DT4 ?
I presume that sptd.sys will reappear with a new install of DT4 !
What's your feeling ?

I don't have any problems with Daemon tools and Partition Magic and ive been using them together since DT4 was released!

The problem reappears exactly like the first time I get it and neither DT4 is reinstalled nor sptd.sys is present ?!
I am really frustrated and lost face to this problem : I was happy to get partition magic up and running after removing sptd:sys, but after next reboot PC was freezing again asap partitionmagic starts over ?!
May be DT4 is not the only responsible !
