I'm trying to install Daemon Tools 4.0.3 on a Windows XP x64 system. On install, after agreeing to the SPTD Layer EULA and clicking OK on the kernel mode debugger warning, an error pops up saying:
"SPTD setup V1.24 (C) 2004-2005 Duplex Secure Ltd.
Unable to open service manager."
Clicking OK brings me to the regular "choose components" install menu. I have not continued the install since I'm wary this error means that things aren't going to work.
Any ideas what's causing this error?
