Daemon 3.47 and latest version

I have been running 3.47 on my desktop for some time and am very happy with it. I recently had some problems with my XP system and have set up a new XP partition. I notice that Daemon-Tools has moved on to a newer version 4.?? but have been troubled with the "system needs to reboot before continuing" scenario. A search of this forum has found a suggestion to edit the registry which I will do when I can get my wife off the desktop. Meanwhile, can someone tell me what are the benefits of the current version over 3.47?

V4 has better emulation (so it supports more protections)
