commercial vs free feature list request and more...

Could someone post here or at disc-soft a comparison between the commercial and free HE versions and Pro please. The table should be a good place to show exactly what people can expect in the future rather than trawling through the forums, especially on the now feature-rich Pro version

and perhaps a couple of additions to the FAQ at disc-soft...

1. Clarify that ALL future updates are free for purchased versions?
2. Any discount on upgrading from HE to Pro versions?

Therefore you are too late...
If you would have been customer before September 2006 you would have got DT Pro for free and also got life-time updates... But since then you only get 1 year updates (same goes for Pro)...

Commercial normal DT Versions have been (at least up-to-now) more or less the same as free versions (only difference might have been sometimes that DT Searchbar was not included at all - or at default disabled for installation - but as you can choose to not install that...), only difference ... earlier release and customer support... And also: Those versions are necessary for companies to use...

DT Pro: Supports creating images, also compressed and encrypted images... Furthermore: It supports creating images of Tagès-Protected games...
As said: vIDE is not yet in it but should be included in one of thee sooner future new versions...

I forgot: With DT Pro you also have the possibility to create 32 SCSI-Drives (with normal DT, either free or customer version you only get up to 4 drives)...
