What about a daily/weekly update check for DT Pro. Currently is only monthly, but it would be nice if we can have a dropdown menu where we can select to check daily, every 3 days ...

would be a nice feature.. but every 3 days is to much. A waste of traffic! maybe once in the 2 weeks is better

I don't think an update check uses much traffic, probably not even 1kB. Checking your mail uses even more traffic, and I don't think you only check your mail every 2 weeks

Multiply that by several thousand people, and the bandwidth usage for the DTools team begins to add up. That's probably why they made it once a month. Though I do agree that a shorter time (like every 1-2 weeks) shouldn't pose too great of a problem.Comment
