Virtual CD/DVD Drive as RAM Disk

Hello at all,

in my opinion it would be a good feature if virtual disks could generated in RAM.
Many 32bit Windows user have installed 4GB of RAM (or more).
Memory over about 3.3 GB is normaly unuseable in such systems.
By using PAE (physical adress extension) it should be able to use this memory to storage CD images. For example some new RAMdisk Tools can use this PAE sollution in 32bit Windows.

Some will ask: Why should a virtual CD-ROM be ~1000x faster than a HDD? - Why not?

think theres a demo too, so you can check it for yourself i guess.. dont think it emulates though...

as for memory usage, for me personally i'd prefer the memory image (lets say 4gb+ for a dvd image) to be used by the operating system, as it could make much better use of it

also, 32 bit has a limit too, regardless of pae, there is an overhead...
