i'm sure internally there is a reason for the long version strings.
ie: DT Pro version 4.40.0311.0197
but in the real world, something like 3-4 digits is enough.
why not just use dt v4.40, then for the next version, 4.41 then 4.42 etc??
and if you must, use build numbers like many other programs. ie: dt v4.40 (build 0311.0197)
so when people talk about the current version, they mention: "i am using v4.40". no need to supply a swiss bank account number. ;-)
