  • Right click -> Mount Image option (SHOULD BE EASY :)

    hi all,

I have hundreds of images on my HD .. and going through them is not an easy task when looking for something. I thought a little simple addon to the right click menu such as "Mount on Daemon Drive - > Drive list letters" would be very useful when keeping the folder open with all the ISO's.

True, MountDrive is somewhat close to it. It'd be nice if it was a part of Daemon Tools though. I found a problem with MountDrive .. by enabling 'Autostart' on it, it'll autostart all of the virtual drives that are mounted when you mount each new image. Imagine having 4 VDrives starting every time you mount one And it's in german ... not that I really care, but still.

        Hi,

        I do it this way:

        1st I click right on a image -> "open with..." -> "browse"
and select the binary "c:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe"
        - check the checkbox
        - "OK"
        - now I get a error dialog and "ok"
        - now in the explorer menu "extra" under "folder options" , "filetypes"
searche for the extension e.g. "iso", click the button "extended"
select "open" form the list -> "edit"

        and change the line to:
        "D:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe" -mount 0 "%1"
        including the "
click "ok" until all dialog boxes are closed and double click an image file

ta ta an image is mounted on Daemon drive 0

does any one know how to make an .reg file for that?

        cu

          Whiteghost,

THANX! I was looking for this for a long time!

Note: you forgot the colon, the correct syntax is:

          "D:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"%1"

          Greetz,

I've created a quick and dirty reg-file that does the trick.

(By downloading the file, you accept the term that I cannot in any way be held liable for any damage this update creates on your computer)

For more information about the reg-file and how to apply it, see http://www.plawer.dk/item/2004/10/11...n_daemon_tools

If anyone can be of assistance to how to create a sub-menu (shellex) that makes it possible to mount the image to 1-n Daemon tools devices, please speak up.

I don't get why you just don't use awxDTools? It's such a nice tool, and you get what you want in no time
