Daemon Tools is already pretty minimalistic in my opinion, but if you want to reduce the install size, then you can delete the documentation files and pack daemon.exe (for example using one of the new breed of exe packers that use Igor Pavlov's LZMA algo.)
Or you may volunteer to write your own frontend using Win32ASM .
