To me this seems quite obvious, but I've never seen any signs of it in Daemontools, but how about adding file association and/or entries in the context menu to daemontools?
In other words, either double-click on the image to emulate it, or right-click and select "emulate with daemontools". Certainly more convenient than opening a file browser window, and going folder-diving for it - especially when you're already in the appropriate folder in explorer (or the replacement of choice).
