I know this is also a sptd.sys related problem.. but i found no fix after browsing thru the forums for an hour
so i already tried everything mentioned on the other post... but when i run sptdinst_x86.exe add i get the error
"Unable to create Service error code 5"
The error means SPTD service could not be created.
Do you use any antivirus software? Try to disable it during SPTD layer installation, or run setup in safe mode.
Also ensure all registry permissions are ok, e.g. if you used some anti-blacklisting tool (e.g. Anti-Blaxx) in the past.
