Version 4.0 + simply doesn't load!

Please forgive me for not heaving read all the 101 pages but I searched for my problem and it seems, that I am the only one with the following:

daemon 3.47 runs great (but is blacklisted by ProtectCd 6 so I wanted to have daemon 4.03)

I install daemon, it reboots, installs, finishes and when it starts there is this Messagewindow "Please Wait" displayed, the ding-ding from Windows XP comes (when a new device is detected) and then the system freezes!

This is with daemon 4.0 as well!


On my Athlon X2 4400+ with 2 GB RAM it daemon works fine but the problem-pc is an Intel P4, 1.7 Ghz with 512 MB RAM and Windows XP Pro!
I've already reinstalled Windows, without solving the problem...

I got your email 5i1v3rstorm. I don't have a lot of ideas for you to try but I suggest you upload \windows\setupapi.log. Did you install any other programs after your new install of windows when this still happened?
