Same goes for Vista 5552

Tried with latest 5552 of vista, just for fun because its basically the same build than 5536.
Daemon tools v3.33 stays on the road for Vista.

PS: Still the compatibility issue at the very beginning of the installation, MS ask us to ask Daemon!
I guess this is where we have to wait for a update of DT. We will wait & see

Great...MS is delaying RC1 until build 5568, wasn't that released internally a few days ago?

Come on you *1337 h4x0r5* of SPTD! Vista's kernel isn't gonna change anymore! Just try to work around the Kernel Patch Protection thing? Or is there another problem? Does anyone here know the guys working on SPTD?

Build 5600 (RC1) was released for betatesters.

Haha it's obviously not going to work, you need new SPTD to get around the Kernel problem.

RC1 = 5552 = 5536 for Daemon Tools (only v3.33)

It is sad to say it but yes...RC1 (Vista 5600) doesn't work with Latest Daemon 4.03HE sptd 1.25. As i expected...

V3.33 Works again...like always...

ps: Little change for me this time, I never needed a reboot after or before installing 3.33! But with RC1 it asked me to Reboot after the installation

For the Rest it will be up to the Daemon team
I'm sure the team will give us an update soon... Just be patient guys

Note: I know that 5536 x86/x64 builds had problems too


Just wanted to jot a note down that Vista labels the Daemon Tools 4.0.3 install as incompatible.

Hoping for a new release soon, I'd be happy to test any releases out!

Windows Vista pre-RC1/RC1 trouble

Having compatibility troubles with DT+Vista pre-RC1 (RC1 too probably). When installation started win shows me a window with description of install cannot be proceed (and a stupid button to "check for solutions"). I've read about the same problem in this forum but I've not found any dedicated topic to it. So when can we expect the solution?

I can't get 3.33 working on 5600, it fails with 25026? error.

i am a admin and have disabled these things by default cause the new promt is not a good idea i think to make the security better under win.

but i have a clear installation on 5600 and the latest 4.03 dont work. have u written the guy of the manual?

the link u have posted here told the reader that the installation work under vista and thats not right.
