Error 1723 while installing

I had DT 3.29 installed and it worked.
Then while trying to install 3.33 i got this error message.
I tried the older versions and I still get this error message.
A couple of days ago I installed visual studio .NET, I don't know if it has somehting to do with it.
Maybe something with the .NET framework, but I have tried installing .NET fw 1.1 and it still doesn't work.

I also get the same error trying to uninstall DT.
Is DT availible in any other installation format? like .zip or something?

The error log looks like:

Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action DaemonFindRelatedProducts, entry: _DaemonFindRelatedProducts@4, library: C:\WINNT\Installer\MSI20A.tmp

Thank you for the views, I solved it.
What I did was, download this utility from http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q238413
(windows installer cleanup utility)
remove DTools.
And reinstall!
