deamon tool will cause damage to Window Installer

Yesterday, in Yahoo Answer forum, a guy was asking
which software can be used to open a bin file;
to help him, a junior member suggested him using Daemon tool; but then a senior member of the same forum opposed that junior member's idea by saying that Daemon Tool could
do harm to Window Installer, and so urged the guy not to use Daemon Tool, but Alcohol 120%.

I have used Daemon tool 3.47 for 2 years in Window XP,
and it has never done anything harmfully to my PC.
So, I doubt what that senior member said was right.

Any idea?

That's the biggest stupidity ever. Of course Daemon Tools won't do any "damage" to Windows Installer service.

And afaik Alcohol 120 % is using the same virtual technology like Daemon Tools
