The only freeware i know is KernSafe Total Mounter, but it seems to be very buggy.
At least on my systems i could only use virtualized CD-R, not DVD-R; furthermore there is no Audio-CD support.

As it's no direct competitor in terms of the range of functions i'd like to mention Phantom Drive as a reasonable app.

I would also like to create a virtual blank DVD for my movie presentation work etc. Is this possible?
