  • Stupid new user question

I've installed D-Tools just fine and sure enough drive E: showed up.

But now everytime I try to access it, I get a pop-up message instructing me to insert a disk. How can I make it think that my whole drive or at least a few gigs of my hard drive is the inserted disk?

I'm looking to burn MP3s from iTunes to my hard drive them rip them down without tearing through tens of CDs.

I've read the documentation and couldn't find the answer to my question.

I'm thinking that what I'm trying is either not possible with DT or is very easy and I just don't know how.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it was simply use _____ instead of DT.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you're misunderstanding the purpose of Daemon Tools. The DTools virtual drive allows you to mount an image of a CD or DVD in various formats (ISO, MDS/MDF, CUE/BIN, etc) so they can be accessed just as if the data was on a physical disc. Sounds like you're wanting a virtual CD-RW drive. DTools is a virtual DVD-ROM (read only) drive. Read the linked post for more info.
