Cannot install

CIDAEMON.EXE-03E1E36A.pf file shows but windows cannot open wants program. What do I select?

Cannot install Daemon tools

downloaded files are CIDAEMON.EXE-27AE97A4, CIDAEMON.EXE-03E1E36A and cidaemon and will not open without a program selection local resident.

download is to c:\windows\prefetch and the cidaemon is to c:\window\system32

Where did you download those files!? I know where Microsoft's indexing service is located. But this has nothing to do with Daemon Tools.

No daemon icon in taskbar, no daemon program installed in add/remove, no daemon installable files found in system search that's why.

Well, they won't appear out of nothing - you must download the installer package first, then run it.

Yeah, I know files don't appear from Karnac, I bet I been around the industry longer than you have. I clicked on the installer package and I got garbage. I'll delete the resident files and start over. thanks

Yeah, sure - that's why you don't know what cidaemon.exe is, and how to describe your problem from the beginning?

That was your first post - so what? Daemon Tools has nothing to do with cidaemon.exe. That's the answer to that.

Now you say you got garbage while running the installer package - fine. That's a little different. Maybe you are able to describe the "garbage" a little more detailled? And which files did you delete?
