Driver Version Mismatch...Can sb send me the correct driver?

Hi Folks!
I had some problems when uninstalling 4.03. Had to do it manually. i renamed the dtscsi.sys, before installing 4.06. Now I get the error message "Driver version mismatch - reinstall or update". I tried all solutions which I encountered on this site. I deinstalled it manually a dozen times. Cleaned the registry and deleted every bit I could find. But still, after installation its still the same error.
If I try to uninstall it doesnt work neither. Says "Setup is unable to validate installation"

I would really appreciate any help. Maybe somebody could just send me the driver I need for 4.06, so I copy it manually.

Uninstall Daemon Tools, remove/disable dtscsi service, delete Daemon Tools installation folder, and reboot.
To remove/disable dtscsi service delete related hive in registry in ...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es hive.
After reboot re-install Daemon Tools.

Hi!
I followed your instructions but it did not work.
After the installation the entry in...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es doesn't reappear.
I get the feeling that I miss a part of DT when uninstalling it manually, because during the re-installation it uses the right path which is not standard. So it gets the information elsewhere.
Any ideas what I might miss or how to solve it?

The dtscsi entry in Services hive shouldn't re-appear, 'cause dtscsi belongs to obsolte v4 version, so that's ok. You also should not place dtscsi.sys back in system32\drivers folder.
But you have to remove all files of previous version, and you MUST reboot before running v4.06 setup.

Did not work.
I did the following:
1. Deleted DT Folder and everthing else I found on my hd which was from DT
2. Swept clean the registry of all DT entries including dtscsi
3. deleted the dtscsi.sys
4. rebooted
5. installed daemon406 x86

When starting get the message: "Virtual SCSI driver not detected."
when uninstalling "setup is unable to validate installation"

Any more ideas?

Same problems. Exactly the same response and error messages.

Please check system event log for any error messages (run eventvwr.msc).

There is an error, source is the sptd.

I'll try to find something on that.

Please send Alcohol system report to support@daemon-tools.cc with reference to this thread.
As it seems you use obsolete Alcohol version, so remove it, and also I'm a little surprised to see dtscsi.sys in the list - I think I told you to remove it. Reboot after removal.
You also have quite some unusual drivers in system, could be worth a try to remove e.g. the Cinemaster software.
After all a complete new Windows installation is always your friend.
