even when i use daemon tools and load an image, i still get a window popup asking to insert the cd... when i click on continue or cancel 3 times, it then loads the game. when i tried removing the physical cd rom drive, the message doesn't come up anymore... is it something in the registry?

Some games need the CD in the drive with the lowest drive letter or only accept the CD (image) if in drives with lower drive letters than the drive with the mounted image is no CD (or image mounted).
Solutions:
- change drive letters (see manual) so the virtual drive has the lowest one
- make sure in no other drive is a CD or image mounted
