    System will not boot after deleting SPTD.sys

    System will not boot in safe mode. Nor will it boot with a Windows XP setup disc. Nor will it boot with a Windows XP install disc. Neither will HP system restore work.

    I've put the drive in an external hard drive enclosure so that I can access it from my new PC. But now what? How can I get the computer to boot now?
