Can't uninstall or reinstall Daemon Tools

There is something wrong with my Daemon tools installation, because, for one it doesn't work, and I also can't uninstall it. The remove option is in the Add or Remove Programs in the control panel, but when I try, an error message pops up. It says, "A network error occurred while trying to read from the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\daemon.msi" I have also tried to install a new version, but it tells me that I need to remove the current version before preceding. Do I need to remove the registry files?
What can I do to get Daemon Tools working again?

Just looked there, and found this http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/remo...-v4-t6992.html but daemon.msi for my version (0x032f0000) is not there.

That's because that's for removal of v4, not v3. But I'll make it even easier for you. Download the MS Installer Cleanup Utility and remove it that way.
