Unwanted mounting of disc image

I used Daemon Tools 3.47 some time ago to mount a disc image. I'm not sure, but I think that I uninstalled Daemon Tools without unmounting the disc image. Anyway, the uninstallation went well - I don't have DT installed anymore. Yet the disc image continues to mount every time I boot and there is no (easy) way to remove the disc image files. They are always used by "another person or program".
Since I'm not a regular Windows user I basically have no idea what to do. I tried to close some random processes with task manager but that (of course?) didn't help...
If someone have a clue what to do, I'd be grateful!
