vista and sata drives

first i like to say YES i did do a search,dint find what i was looking for so here is my question.
i have a dell e521 amd 4000+ 64 dual core, vista 32 bit os,
2 gig of ram, 8600 gt nvidia video card, wd 250 gig hard drive sata, and a dvd sata burner.
will dt work on my pc?
